प्री-वेडींग शूट हिथंच हवंय !!!

"बारा गावाचं पाणी पिल्यासारखं बारा गावाचे पोहे-चहा-मिसळ-तर्री पोहे खाल्ले आहेत",  I can safely say this. Most of the time out on bike-ride, these items are the safe bet for a break-fast. And today was no exception. We started late, around 7.30 and with the cold still in the air, the hunger strike early. The tea especially was very nice, that I couldn't say no to another.

Today's ride was again in the Saswad region. This is really my favorite area. Less crowded and rich in the experience.

"Sagameshwar Temple", was in my bucket list for soo long, since 3 years now.. but somehow it never happened. I guess today was the day.

Mariaai-Ghat, I have done countless times now, so thought to take another route, via Ketkawle-Narayanpur. The decision was so perfect. After initial bad road patch of around a kilometer or two, the road was in excellent condition. Climbs, twists and turns and straight roads. Everything to throttle the bike to the fullest.

Purandar Fort, always covered in fog and clud with a carpet of green in monsoon was dry and rough and raw.. and it looked mighty and mean than usual.

Sangameshwar Temple, a temple of Lord Shiva is around 18km from Ketkawale (Prati-Balaji). We were about to reach, but just before a km to it, we sighted a beautiful temple structure hidden in the trees. "Changwateshwar Temple" is what it read

There is a mythological tale narrating a history about the creation of this temple. The construction of this temple was initiated by Saint Changdev. Every day he used to worship Lord Shiva, with the Shivalinga on his left hand. With one hand when he tried to lift the Shivalinga, it didn’t move from its place. He built the temple on the same spot where the Shivalinga was located initially. Later on, it was renovated by Sardar Abajipanta Purandare in 1700 AD. This temple is built in a “Hemadpanti”  style of architecture.

Locals outside the temple told us that, few scenes from the Marathi film “Valu” are shot in this temple.

Seems, this temple is famous for pre-wedding shots as well. At-least 6-7 couples and an army of photographers were busy at the location. Everyone in traditional attire with an attitude of Bajirao Peshwa and Kashibai. Photographers with their big lens cameras and strobes and gimbles were busy soaking in every moment of them.

"जे नसे गुगल वर, ते दिसे बाईक वर..", I said to myself.

We clicked lots of picture and headed towards the Sangameshwar Temple.

The first look of the temple was as good as I've seen it on google image. The premise here as well was crowded with Pre-wedding shoots. As one side of the temple was getting renovated, somehow the charm was lost there. Clicked lot many pictures here as well, especially near the river and as the temperature started rising we headed back.
